1. Who we are
Kluno is an email verification service. When you verify emails — via the website demo, the dashboard, or the API — we check whether an address can receive mail. That's the whole job: we tell you if an email address is real and reachable.
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and name (for your login), managed through our authentication provider.
- Verification data: the email addresses you submit for verification and the result of each check (e.g. valid / invalid / catch-all), plus basic metadata such as the timestamp, the verification method, and the MX provider.
- We do not collect the contents of anyone's mailbox. Verification only checks whether an address exists and can receive mail — we never read email.
3. How long we keep it
We do not store your verification data permanently. Every verification record is automatically and permanently deleted 15 days after it is created. After 15 days it is gone from our database and no longer appears in your History or Results.
- Short-lived performance cache: to keep the service fast, a verification result may be held in a temporary cache for up to 7 days, then automatically discarded.
- Delete it yourself: you can also delete your entire verification history at any time from the dashboard using the "Delete my history" option.
4. How we use it
We use your data solely to provide the verification service and to show you your own results. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
5. Sub-processors
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (stores your account and the 15-day verification history).
- Kamatera — the server infrastructure the verification engine runs on.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time. Your verification history auto-deletes after 15 days; you may also delete it on demand from the dashboard, or contact us to remove your account data entirely.
7. A note for agencies and bulk users
If you upload contact lists belonging to your own clients, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process those contacts. We act as a processor: we verify the addresses, keep the results for at most 15 days, and never use them for anything other than returning your results.
